We are constantly battling a real enemy who is working overtime to steal, kill, and destroy. He employs unfair deceitful tactics and will go to any length to exhaust and wear us down. It is crucial to remain vigilant when engaged in battle because our adversary, the devil, seeks whom he may devour. We are blessed to have been graced to wear the whole armour of God. This armour consists of various tools that help us to withstand the wiles of the devil. God provides:
Pray in the Spirit with all prayers and supplication.
Seeking God in the midst of the battle fortifies our faith in God. We must be confident that we are fighting from a position of victory. Do not fear defeat. God has placed everything under His feet for His church (the called-out ones) and always causes us to triumph over the enemy. Through Jesus' sacrifice, God has already granted us victory over the enemy. This triumph was achieved over 2,000 years ago at Calvary's Cross when Satan was defeated. Let us remember this and be grateful for it. Let's hold onto our personal testimonies of triumph and praise God as a tribute to what Jesus Christ has done for us. Continue to obey God's commandments and operate in faith to receive even more sweatless victories.
Prayer: Dear God, as we start this week, we pray for victories to come easily and without much struggle. Grace us with sweatless victories. Let us recognize the enemy as already defeated. God, please guide and protect us as we trust You to fight for us. Settle our spirits and keep our hearts and minds as we journey through life. We pray this in Jesus' name, Amen.
